Jeremiah Homes

Jeremiah Homes
Jeremiah Homes are a proven and effective strategy to give help, hope, and a bright future to orphans whose relatives are unable to care for them. We are committed to establishing these homes in several sub-Saharan African nations. Each Jeremiah home cares for about fifty orphans.

A Jeremiah Home is either a single large four apartment building that houses 12-18 children per apartment for a total of up to 50 children or four small homes that each house 12-18 children also for a total of up to 50 children. The model of home constructed in an area will be determined by the societal norms and expectations in that community and by the availability of land. Whether it is a single large four apartment building or four smaller buildings, the Jeremiah Homes are organized so that the children are well integrated into their local communities and culture and also enjoy a family-like environment.

The homes are led by mature believers who care committed to caring for orphans. As such they provide safe places for children to live and grow.

Each Jeremiah home is particularly committed to raising children in the cultural context of each region. As such the children living in the homes attend the same local churches, local schools, and get care from local hospitals.

As AIDs continues to cause havoc in Africa, the number of orphans continues to rise. Our vision is to provide hundreds of these Jeremiah Homes to serve thousands of children whose families are destroyed by AIDs.

You can help us. $30,000 will build a single small house for 12-18 children. $120,000 will build all four houses in a single Jeremiah Home. $100,000 will build a single large four apartment Jeremiah Home that houses up to 50 children. You can join with others to donate towards construction of a single house or an entire Jeremiah Home.
