Emmerencia is five years old. She lives with her grandmother (she lost her parents to AIDS) who is very old and can't take care of her any more. When Shaping Destiny found her, she had no clothes. We provided clothes for her at our 2006 Summer Camp and took this picture. Her little legs were infested with red bugs. She was itching and scratching allover and in obvious discomfort. Her head was full of dandruff. This poor child was just miserable. We took her to the hospital and brought her to join the other children at the Camp. We have been showing her the love of Christ. She is responding to treatment but she has a long way to go. Because of the help of Shaping Destiny Ministries, Emmerencia will be able to have frequent medical examinations, get medicine when she is sick, get more clothes, food and go to school until she can take care of herself. Shaping Destiny and it’s partners have saved this child’s life.

Sandra is only three years old. She lost both of her parents to AIDs. Sandra has AIDS and lives with her aunt who is unable to provide for Sandra's basic needs. Sandra could die any day if she caught malaria, typhoid, or just simple infections which are common in her region because of the lack of proper sanitation. Without immediate intervention, Sandra will not make it to her teenage years. But thanks be to God for Shaping Destiny partners that have started changing Sandra’s destiny in a positive way. With help from Shaping Destiny ministries, Sandra received medical care during our summer camp session, and will survive by the grace of God.
